Do you run a Red Cross class in Diamond Bar?
No. Diamond Bar does not have one of our classrooms. Our Red Cross classes are taught in West Covina, 8.7 miles away: north on the 57, then west on the 10, about 12 minutes. The 57 and 10 interchange is where the time goes on a weekday evening, so for the Wednesday 6:00 PM class leave some margin, or take the Saturday noon session instead.
Running a tutoring center or after school program in Diamond Bar?
Programs that keep children through the afternoon need someone on duty who knows child and infant CPR as well as basic first aid. The Red Cross Adult and Pediatric course trains both in one class. With six or more staff, it is usually easier to have us teach it in your own space after the students go home.
Dental front desk: Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED or BLS?
Licensed dental staff need BLS, because the Dental Board of California requires a BLS course with a live skills session for license renewal. Front desk and billing staff who are not licensed are not held to that, and a Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certificate is a solid way to make sure someone in the waiting room can act. We teach both, so a practice can split its team by role.
Team parent or volunteer coach for a Diamond Bar league?
Youth leagues set their own rules, and many like at least one adult per team to hold current first aid and CPR. The Saturday noon class fits around morning games. If you also coach at Diamond Bar High or Diamond Ranch, California's Education Code 35179.1 requires first aid, CPR and AED certification, which this class covers.
Getting ready for a new baby or a grandchild's visit?
No requirement, just peace of mind. The pediatric part of this course practises infant and child CPR on manikins sized for each age, which is the part most new parents tell us they came for. Two people from the same household can book seats in the same class.
How is the certificate delivered?
Digitally. When your instructor submits the class paperwork, the Red Cross emails you a link to a certificate with a unique ID and a QR code. You can print it, save it to your phone or forward it to an employer, and it stays valid for two years.
