How much does PALS certification cost?
Our AHA PALS class is $250. That includes the full instructor-led course, simulated pediatric emergency scenarios with real coaching, and your official AHA PALS Provider eCard issued the same day you complete the course. It also includes a free BLS Provider course, so both certifications renew on the same schedule. There are no extra card or processing fees at checkout.
PALS vs ACLS: which one do I need?
Both are advanced AHA provider courses, but they cover different patients. ACLS focuses on adult cardiovascular emergencies: rhythms, pharmacology, and code-team leadership for adult resuscitation. PALS focuses on infants and children: systematic pediatric assessment, PALS treatment algorithms, and team-based pediatric resuscitation. Providers in emergency departments, pediatric units, and prehospital roles often need both. If your role centers on adult patients, see our ACLS class; if you respond to pediatric emergencies, PALS is the required card.
How long is the PALS class?
PALS is an advanced course built around simulated pediatric emergencies, so plan for a longer session than a basic CPR class. Exact length varies with your pathway and group size: first-time students cover more material than renewing providers. Either way, you get guided practice with pediatric assessment, algorithm flow, and team scenarios, and your eCard is issued the same day you successfully complete the course.
Who needs PALS certification?
PALS is designed for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. That includes physicians, nurses, and paramedics in emergency departments, pediatric and NICU/PICU units, and urgent care settings that see children throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Check your employer or program's exact requirement: most specify an American Heart Association PALS Provider card, which is exactly what this course issues, with a same-day eCard you can submit immediately.
How does PALS renewal work?
Your AHA PALS card is valid for 2 years, and hospitals and credentialing departments expect an unexpired card at all times. Book a Sunday or Tuesday class before your expiration date, refresh your pediatric assessment and algorithm skills with an instructor, and walk out with a fresh 2-year eCard the same day. If your card has already lapsed, you can still book any upcoming class and leave current.
