How much does ACLS certification cost?
Our AHA ACLS class is $250. That includes the full instructor-led course, rhythm and megacode practice with real coaching, and your official AHA ACLS Provider eCard issued the same day you complete the course. It also includes a free BLS Provider course, so both certifications renew on the same schedule. There are no extra card or processing fees at checkout.
ACLS vs BLS: what is the difference?
BLS (Basic Life Support) is the foundation every healthcare provider needs: high-quality CPR, AED use, ventilations, and team resuscitation basics. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) builds on BLS for providers who manage cardiac arrests and other cardiovascular emergencies: ECG rhythm interpretation, resuscitation pharmacology, airway management, and leading a code team. Many hospital roles require both cards, which is why our ACLS class includes a free BLS course.
How long is the ACLS class?
ACLS is a deeper course than a standard CPR class, so plan for a longer session. Exact length varies with your pathway and group size: first-time students cover more material than renewing providers, and smaller groups move through scenarios faster. Either way, you get guided practice with rhythms, algorithm flow, and megacodes, and your eCard is issued the same day you successfully complete the course.
How does ACLS renewal work?
Your AHA ACLS card is valid for 2 years, and hospitals and credentialing departments expect an unexpired card at all times. Book a Sunday or Tuesday class before your expiration date, refresh your rhythms and megacode skills with an instructor, and walk out with a fresh 2-year eCard the same day. If your card has already lapsed, you can still book any upcoming class and leave current.
Do nurses need ACLS certification?
Many do. ACLS is commonly required for RNs and other providers in emergency departments, ICUs, telemetry and step-down units, PACU and procedural areas, and for many paramedic and advanced-practice roles across the San Gabriel Valley. Check the exact wording of your requirement: most specify an American Heart Association ACLS Provider card, which is exactly what this course issues, with a same-day eCard you can submit to your credentialing office immediately.
