ACLS Certification

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.

ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics.

Our AHA ACLS class is $250, which includes the full instructor-led course, megacode practice, and your official American Heart Association ACLS eCard issued the same day you complete the course. Classes run at our West Covina training site at 100 N. Barranca St, Suite #255-B.

ACLS is a deeper course than BLS, with rhythm recognition, pharmacology, and team-based megacode scenarios, so plan for a longer session than a standard CPR class. Session length varies by class date and whether you are certifying for the first time or renewing, so pick your city below and check the schedule details when you book.

An AHA ACLS card is valid for 2 years. Because hospitals and credentialing departments require an unexpired card, we recommend scheduling your renewal class ahead of your expiration date. If your card has lapsed, you can still book a class and leave with a current 2-year certification.

BLS is the foundation: high-quality CPR, AED use, and team resuscitation basics that every healthcare provider needs. ACLS builds on top of BLS for providers who manage cardiac arrests and other cardiovascular emergencies: ECG rhythm interpretation, airway management, resuscitation pharmacology, and leading a code team. Many roles require both cards, and BLS skills are a prerequisite foundation for ACLS. If you only need provider-level CPR, start with our BLS course.

ACLS is typically required for providers working in emergency departments, ICUs, telemetry and critical care units, PACU and procedural areas, and for many paramedic and advanced-practice roles across the San Gabriel Valley. Check your unit or employer's credentialing requirements: most specify an American Heart Association ACLS Provider card, which is what this course issues.
