PALS Certification

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a video-based, Instructor-led, advanced course, that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics.

PALS is designed for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements.

Our AHA PALS class is $250, which includes the instructor-led course, simulated pediatric emergency scenarios, and your official American Heart Association PALS eCard issued the same day you complete the course. Classes run at our West Covina training site at 100 N. Barranca St, Suite #255-B.

PALS is an advanced course built around simulated pediatric emergencies, systematic assessment, and treatment algorithms, so it runs longer than a basic CPR class. Exact session length depends on the class date and whether you are certifying or renewing, so pick your city below and review the schedule details when you book.

An AHA PALS card is valid for 2 years. Hospitals and credentialing departments expect an unexpired card, so schedule your renewal class before your expiration date. If your card has already lapsed, you can book any upcoming class and leave with a current 2-year certification.

Both are advanced AHA provider courses, but they cover different patients. ACLS focuses on adult cardiovascular emergencies; PALS focuses on the assessment and resuscitation of infants and children. Providers in emergency departments, pediatric units, and prehospital roles often need both. If your role centers on adult patients, see our ACLS course; if you respond to pediatric emergencies, PALS is the required card.

PALS is commonly required for providers in emergency departments, pediatric and NICU/PICU units, urgent care settings that see children, and many paramedic and nursing roles throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Check your employer or program's exact requirement: most specify an American Heart Association PALS Provider card, which is what this course issues.
